April 2026
A Season of Building and Becoming!
April arrived not as a quiet passage of time but as a season layered with meaning, each moment carrying its own weight, yet collectively forming a tapestry of growth, reflection, and preparation.
It began with Easter, the potent reminder of resurrection—of life’s triumph over death, of hope’s supremacy over despair. It set the tone for the month: a call to rise, to rejuvenate, to embrace the opportunities that follow sacrifice.
“He is not here. He has ·risen [been raised] from the dead as he said he would. Come and see the place where ·his body was [he lay].” — Matthew 28:6 EXB
That truth lingered beyond the celebration. Resurrection was no longer just an event, and it became a lens through which I viewed the unfolding month.
Soon after came the International Conference of Ministers and Leaders (ICML)—a time of rejuvenation and renewal. It's another time to activate divinely inspired operation in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It was more than a gathering; it was an encounter. Ideas were sharpened, perspectives expanded, and there was a quiet but undeniable stirring: a recalibration of purpose.
“You know about Jesus from Nazareth. God made him the Messiah by giving him the Holy Spirit and power. Jesus went everywhere doing good for people. He healed those who were ruled by the devil, showing that God was with him.” Acts 10:38 ERV
Then came my birthday, a time of celebration, reflection, and appreciation. Not only for another year, but also for growth, for lessons, and for the grace that makes the journey possible.
Teach us to live each day with wisdom and purpose, so that, being firmly rooted in God’s presence, we will grow strong, flourish continually, and remain fruitful even in every season of life. Psalms 90:12 and 92:13-14 paraphrased
The rhythm of April continued with Youth Week, a season of reawakening, a reminder of light, purpose, and duty. To be a part of it was not to be passive but to be immersed. It required presence, guidance, and intentional leadership.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV
And then, in a more glamorous and jolly fashion, came the milestone of our pastor and an adorable sister who stepped into the 6th level in a big and memorable style. The 60th birthday celebrations were more than a party; they felt almost symbolic. The grace, depth, and brilliance of the moments represented a life well lived – classic in GRACE. Grounded in principles, Refined in character, Authentic in living, Consistent in conduct, and Elegant in impact.
It served as a poignant reminder that progress is not just spiritual or intellectual but is also evident in the quality of one’s journey, the strength of the community, and the structures we establish over time.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. Psalms 90:12 MEV
Through all these, April felt full. Rich. Intentional. In the midst of all this movement, I observed that I seemed to be everywhere but not quite present in DOARR the way I would have expected. And this was not due to a lack of engagement.
If anything, I was deeply immersed, just in a different dimension. My time and focus had shifted toward academic writing, sourcing for journals, refining ideas for conferences, and preparing manuscripts for submission. It was a quieter kind of work, not as visible but deeply demanding. The kind of productivity that is not immediately apparent, work beneath the surface that shapes outcomes which will only be visible at a later date.
April, in full swing, was less about being there and more about capacity building. It was a season of expanding academically, spiritually, and consciously. And behind it all was a silent expectation: VIVA was coming. Not with worry but with full reliance on the sufficient grace available in Christ Jesus.
“He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 AMP
In retrospect, April wasn’t scattered; it was deliberate. Every activity, every interaction, every moment of apparent busyness was, in fact, an investment in the next level. It was a month of resurrection, renewal, celebration, re-awakening, and structuring. A month of being poured into and stretched.
April 2026 was a beautiful month. Not that everything was in sight, but that everything was going up, and something new was emerging, all to the glory of God.
